Adaptive motion control of parallel robots with kinematic and dynamic uncertainties

2020-03-19

One of the most challenging issues in adaptive control of robot manipulators with kinematic uncertainties is requirement of the inverse of Jacobian matrix in regressor form. This requirement is inevitable in the case of the control of parallel robots, whose dynamic equations are written directly in the task space. In this paper, an adaptive controller is designed for parallel robots based on representation of Jacobian matrix in regressor form, such that asymptotic trajectory tracking is ensured. The main idea is separation of determinant and adjugate of Jacobian matrix and then organize new regressor forms. Simulation and experimental results on a 2--DOF R\underline{P}R and 3--DOF redundant cable driven robot, verify promising performance of the proposed methods.

Robots that redesign themselves through kinematic self-destruction

2026-03-12 · Chen Yu, Sam Kriegman arxiv

Every robot built to date was predesigned by an external process, prior to deployment. Here we show a robot that actively participates in its own design during its lifetime. Starting from a randomly assembled body, and u…

Robust RL Control for Bipedal Locomotion with Closed Kinematic Chains

2025-07-14 · Egor Maslennikov, Eduard Zaliaev, Nikita Dudorov, Oleg Shamanin 외 arxiv

Developing robust locomotion controllers for bipedal robots with closed kinematic chains presents unique challenges, particularly since most reinforcement learning (RL) approaches simplify these parallel mechanisms into …

CLAW: Composable Language-Annotated Whole-body Motion Generation

2026-04-13 · Jianuo Cao, Yuxin Chen, Masayoshi Tomizuka arxiv

Training language-conditioned whole-body controllers for humanoid robots demands large-scale motion-language datasets. Existing approaches based on motion capture are costly and limited in diversity, while text-to-motion…

Visual-Inertial Odometry with Online Calibration of Velocity-Control Based Kinematic Motion Models

2022-04-14 · Haolong Li, Joerg Stueckler

Visual-inertial odometry (VIO) is an important technology for autonomous robots with power and payload constraints. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for VIO with stereo cameras which integrates and calibrates t…

Closing the Motion Execution Gap: From Semantic Motion Task Constraints to Kinematic Control

2026-05-12 · Simon Stelter, Vanessa Hassouna, Malte Huerkamp, Michael Beetz arxiv

This paper addresses the Motion Execution Gap, the disconnect between high-level symbolic task descriptions using semantic constraints and executable robot motions. Motion Statecharts are introduced as an executable symb…
