Centre manifold theorem for maps along manifolds of fixed points
We prove a centre manifold theorem for a map along a manifold-with-boundary of fixed points, and provide an application to the study of gradient descent with large step size on two-layer matrix factorisation problems.

Stochastic Separability of Embedding Manifolds
Neurobiological studies and representation learning have observed that representations of objects belonging to the same category in high-dimensional neural spaces exhibit low-dimensional object manifold characteristics, …
Representation LearningWeighted universal approximation of differentiable maps on infinite-dimensional manifolds
We generalize the universal approximation theorem for functional input neural networks (FNN) to differentiable maps by including the approximation of the derivatives. A FNN maps the input from a possibly infinite-dimensi…
Domain Adaptation with Optimal Transport on the Manifold of SPD matrices
In this paper, we address the problem of Domain Adaptation (DA) using Optimal Transport (OT) on Riemannian manifolds. We model the difference between two domains by a diffeomorphism and use the polar factorization theore…
Brain Computer InterfaceDomain AdaptationAdaptive Stochastic Gradient Descents on Manifolds with an Application on Weighted Low-Rank Approximation
We prove a convergence theorem for stochastic gradient descents on manifolds with adaptive learning rate and apply it to the weighted low-rank approximation problem.
Embedding Riemannian Manifolds by the Heat Kernel of the Connection Laplacian
Given a class of closed Riemannian manifolds with prescribed geometric conditions, we introduce an embedding of the manifolds into $\ell^2$ based on the heat kernel of the Connection Laplacian associated with the Levi-Ci…
