On the Self Shuffle Language

2022-02-16 · Pamela Fleischmann, Tero Harju, Lukas Haschke, Jonas Höfer, Dirk Nowotka

The shuffle product \(u\shuffle v\) of two words \(u\) and \(v\) is the set of all words which can be obtained by interleaving \(u\) and \(v\). Motivated by the paper \emph{The Shuffle Product: New Research Directions} by Restivo (2015) we investigate a special case of the shuffle product. In this work we consider the shuffle of a word with itself called the \emph{self shuffle} or \emph{shuffle square}, showing first that the self shuffle language and the shuffle of the language are in general different sets. We prove that the language of all words arising as a self shuffle of some word is context sensitive but not context free. Furthermore, we show that the self shuffle \(w \shuffle w\) uniquely determines \(w\).

Exploring DeshuffleGANs in Self-Supervised Generative Adversarial Networks

2020-11-03 · Gulcin Baykal, Furkan Ozcelik, Gozde Unal

Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have become the most used networks towards solving the problem of image generation. Self-supervised GANs are later proposed to avoid the catastrophic forgetting of the discriminator…

J-Invariant Volume Shuffle for Self-Supervised Cryo-Electron Tomogram Denoising on Single Noisy Volume

2024-11-22 · Xiwei Liu, Mohamad Kassab, Min Xu, Qirong Ho

Cryo-Electron Tomography (Cryo-ET) enables detailed 3D visualization of cellular structures in near-native states but suffers from low signal-to-noise ratio due to imaging constraints. Traditional denoising methods and s…

Plug n' Play: Channel Shuffle Module for Enhancing Tiny Vision Transformers

2023-10-09 · Xuwei Xu, Sen Wang, Yudong Chen, Jiajun Liu

Vision Transformers (ViTs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in various computer vision tasks. However, the high computational complexity hinders ViTs' applicability on devices with limited memory and computing re…

Self-Remixing: Unsupervised Speech Separation via Separation and Remixing

2022-11-18 · Kohei Saijo, Tetsuji Ogawa

We present Self-Remixing, a novel self-supervised speech separation method, which refines a pre-trained separation model in an unsupervised manner. The proposed method consists of a shuffler module and a solver module, a…
