Perspectives on Stochastic Localization

2025-10-06 · Bobby Shi, Kevin Tian, Matthew S. Zhang arxiv

We survey different perspectives on the stochastic localization process of Eldan, a powerful construction that has had many exciting recent applications in high-dimensional probability and algorithm design. Unlike prior surveys on this topic, our focus is on giving a self-contained presentation of all known alternative constructions of Eldan's stochastic localization, with an emphasis on connections between different constructions. Our hope is that by collecting these perspectives, some of which had primarily arisen within a particular community (e.g., probability theory, theoretical computer science, information theory, or machine learning), we can broaden the accessibility of stochastic localization, and ease its future use.

Cross-View Image Set Geo-Localization

2024-12-25 · Qiong Wu, Panwang Xia, Lei Yu, Yi Liu 외

Cross-view geo-localization (CVGL) has been widely applied in fields such as robotic navigation and augmented reality. Existing approaches primarily use single images or fixed-view image sequences as queries, which limit…

Joint stochastic localization and applications

2025-05-19 · Tom Alberts, Yiming Xu, Qiang Ye

Stochastic localization is a pathwise analysis technique originating from convex geometry. This paper explores certain algorithmic aspects of stochastic localization as a computational tool. First, we unify various exist…

Sampling, Diffusions, and Stochastic Localization

AHAP: Reconstructing Arbitrary Humans from Arbitrary Perspectives with Geometric Priors

2026-02-27 · Xiaozhen Qiao, Wenjia Wang, Zhiyuan Zhao, Jiacheng Sun 외 arxiv

Reconstructing 3D humans from images captured at multiple perspectives typically requires pre-calibration, like using checkerboards or MVS algorithms, which limits scalability and applicability in diverse real-world scen…

Stochastic Localization via Iterative Posterior Sampling

2024-02-16 · Louis Grenioux, Maxence Noble, Marylou Gabrié, Alain Oliviero Durmus

Building upon score-based learning, new interest in stochastic localization techniques has recently emerged. In these models, one seeks to noise a sample from the data distribution through a stochastic process, called ob…
