PRNU-Bench: A Novel Benchmark and Model for PRNU-Based Camera Identification
We propose a novel benchmark for camera identification via Photo Response Non-Uniformity (PRNU) estimation. The benchmark comprises 13K photos taken with 120+ cameras, where the training and test photos are taken in different scenarios, enabling ``in-the-wild'' evaluation. In addition, we propose a novel PRNU-based camera identification model that employs a hybrid architecture, comprising a denoising autoencoder to estimate the PRNU signal and a convolutional network that can perform 1:N verification of camera devices. Instead of using a conventional approach based on contrastive learning, our method takes the Hadamard product between reference and query PRNU signals as input. This novel design leads to significantly better results compared with state-of-the-art models based on denoising autoencoders and contrastive learning. We release our dataset and code at: https://github.com/CroitoruAlin/PRNU-Bench.

Beyond PRNU: Learning Robust Device-Specific Fingerprint for Source Camera Identification
Source camera identification tools assist image forensic investigators to associate an image in question with a suspect camera. Various techniques have been developed based on the analysis of the subtle traces left in th…
Testing Robustness of Camera Fingerprint (PRNU) Detectors
In the field of forensic imaging, it is important to be able to extract a 'camera fingerprint' from one or a small set of images known to have been taken by the same camera. Ideally, that fingerprint would be used to ide…
Combining PRNU and noiseprint for robust and efficient device source identification
PRNU-based image processing is a key asset in digital multimedia forensics. It allows for reliable device identification and effective detection and localization of image forgeries, in very general conditions. However, p…
PRNU Based Source Camera Identification for Webcam Videos
This communication is about an application of image forensics where we use camera sensor fingerprints to identify source camera (SCI: Source Camera Identification) in webcam videos. Sensor or camera fingerprints are base…
