Random Rank-Dependent Expected Utility
We present a novel characterization of random rank-dependent expected utility for finite datasets and finite prizes. The test lends itself to statistical testing using the tools in Kitamura and Stoye (2018).

Rank-Dependent Predictable Forward Performance Processes
Predictable forward performance processes (PFPPs) are stochastic optimal control frameworks for an agent who controls a randomly evolving system but can only prescribe the system dynamics for a short period ahead. This i…
Risk Aversion in the Small and in the Large under Rank-Dependent Utility
Under expected utility the local index of absolute risk aversion has played a central role in many applications. Besides, its link with the "global" concepts of the risk and probability premia has reinforced its attracti…
A duality between utility transforms and probability distortions
In this paper, we establish a mathematical duality between utility transforms and probability distortions. These transforms play a central role in decision under risk by forming the foundation for the classic theories of…
Local Utility and Multivariate Risk Aversion
We revisit Machina's local utility as a tool to analyze attitudes to multivariate risks. We show that for non-expected utility maximizers choosing between multivariate prospects, aversion to multivariate mean preserving …
Utility Maximization Under Endogenous Uncertainty
This paper establishes a general existence result for expected utility maximization in settings where the agent's decision affects the uncertainty faced by her. We introduce a continuity condition for choice-dependent pr…
