Combining detection and reconstruction of correlational and quasi-periodic motifs in viral genomic sequences with transitional genome mapping: Application to COVID-19
A method of Transitional Automorphic Mapping of the Genome on Itself (TAMGI) is aimed at combining detection and reconstruction of correlational and quasi-periodic motifs in the viral genomic RNA/DNA sequences. The motif…
GOLEM: distribution of Gene regulatOry eLEMents within the plant promoters
Motivation: The regulation of gene expression during tissue development is extremely complex. One of the key regulatory mechanisms of gene expression involves the recognition of regulatory motifs by various proteins in t…
Memory Matching Networks for Genomic Sequence Classification
When analyzing the genome, researchers have discovered that proteins bind to DNA based on certain patterns of the DNA sequence known as "motifs". However, it is difficult to manually construct motifs due to their complex…
ClassificationGeneral ClassificationAn Investigation of Hepatitis B Virus Genome using Markov Models
The human genome encodes a family of editing enzymes known as APOBEC3 (apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme, catalytic polypeptide-like 3). Several family members, such as APO-BEC3G, APOBEC3F, and APOBEC3H haplotype II, …
COSSMO: predicting competitive alternative splice site selection using deep learning
MOTIVATION: Alternative splice site selection is inherently competitive and the probability of a given splice site to be used also depends on the strength of neighboring sites. Here, we present a new model named the comp…
