The long-tail distribution function of mutations in bacteria
Levy flights in the space of mutations model time evolution of bacterial DNA. Parameters in the model are adjusted in order to fit observations coming from the Long Time Evolution Experiment with E. Coli.

Sequential mutations in exponentially growing populations
Stochastic models of sequential mutation acquisition are widely used to quantify cancer and bacterial evolution. Across manifold scenarios, recurrent research questions are: how many cells are there with $n$ alterations,…
Adaptability of non-genetic diversity in bacterial chemotaxis
Bacterial chemotaxis systems are as diverse as the environments that bacteria inhabit, but how much environmental variation can cells tolerate with a single system? Diversification of a single chemotaxis system could ser…
DiversityNeutral Diversity in Experimental Metapopulations
New automated and high-throughput methods allow the manipulation and selection of numerous bacterial populations. In this manuscript we are interested in the neutral diversity patterns that emerge from such a setup in wh…
DiversityPoint ProcessesBacterial protein interaction networks: connectivity is ruled by gene conservation, essentiality and function
Protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks are the backbone of all processes in living cells. In this work we relate conservation, essentiality and functional repertoire of a gene to the connectivity $k$ (i.e., the numbe…
Determining Positive Cancer Rescue Mutations in p53 Based Cancers by using Artificial Intelligence
A mutation in a protein-coding gene in DNA can alter the protein structure coded by the same gene. Structurally altered proteins usually lose their functions and sometimes gain an undesirable function instead. These type…
