The Nash equilibrium of forest ecosystems

2016-10-31

To find the possible equilibrium states of forest ecosystems one are suggested to use the theory of differential games. At within the 4-tier model of mosaic forest communities it established the existence of the Nash equilibrium states in such ecosystems

Content Provider Dynamics and Coordination in Recommendation Ecosystems

2020-12-01 · NeurIPS 2020 12 · Omer Ben-Porat, Itay Rosenberg, Moshe Tennenholtz

Recommendation Systems like YouTube are vibrant ecosystems with two types of users: Content consumers (those who watch videos) and content providers (those who create videos). While the computational task of recommending…

On the Nash equilibrium of moment-matching GANs for stationary Gaussian processes

2022-03-14 · Sixin Zhang

Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) learn an implicit generative model from data samples through a two-player game. In this paper, we study the existence of Nash equilibrium of the game which is consistent as the numb…

Smooth Nash Equilibria: Algorithms and Complexity

2023-09-21 · Constantinos Daskalakis, Noah Golowich, Nika Haghtalab, Abhishek Shetty

A fundamental shortcoming of the concept of Nash equilibrium is its computational intractability: approximating Nash equilibria in normal-form games is PPAD-hard. In this paper, inspired by the ideas of smoothed analysis…

A Characterization of Nash Equilibrium in Behavioral Strategies through Local Sequential Rationality

2025-04-01 · Yiyin Cao, Chuangyin Dang

The concept of Nash equilibrium in behavioral strategies (NashEBS) was formulated By Nash~\cite{Nash (1951)} for an extensive-form game through global rationality of nonconvex payoff functions. Kuhn's payoff equivalence …

A new proof for the existence of Nash equilibrium

2023-10-02 · Davide Carpentiere, Stephen Watson

We present a new proof for the existence of a Nash equilibrium, which involves no fixed point theorem. The self-contained proof consists of two parts. The first part introduces the notions of root function and pre-equili…
