Valdi: Value Diffusion World Models

2026-07-01 · Christopher Lindenberg, Kashyap Chitta hf

World models can enable Model Predictive Control (MPC), but this requires dynamics prediction that is both fast enough for online use and expressive enough to represent uncertain futures. Diffusion models offer a natural mechanism for modeling uncertain dynamics, yet their iterative inference procedure makes them difficult to use for low-latency latent planning. We bridge this gap with Value Diffusion World Models (Valdi), combining end-to-end online training for MPC with a latent diffusion dynamics model. In preliminary experiments on the CarRacing environment, we show that Valdi, using a single diffusion step at both training and inference, matches a deterministic MLP baseline. Our experiments expose a trade-off between predictive multimodality and control performance in this setup. Code is available at https://github.com/Kit115/ValueDiffusionWorldModels.

Pseudo-Deliberation in Language Models: When Reasoning Fails to Align Values and Actions

2026-05-11 · Sushrita Rakshit, Hanwen Zhang, Hua Shen arxiv

Large language models (LLMs) are often evaluated based on their stated values, yet these do not reliably translate into their actions, a discrepancy termed "value-action gap." In this work, we argue that this gap persist…

Compact Dual-Polarized Vivaldi Antenna for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Application

2020-11-27 · Hai-Han Sun, Yee Hui Lee, Abdulkadir C. Yucel, Genevieve Ow 외

In this paper, a compact dual-polarized Vivaldi antenna is presented. Four Vivaldi elements are used as radiators, and are positioned obliquely and connected in a horn shape. By exciting two sets of elements, two orthogo…

3D Printed Metallic Dual-Polarized Vivaldi Arrays on Square and Triangular Lattices

2021-06-10 · Carl Pfeiffer, Jeffrey Massman, Thomas Steffen

We report the first Vivaldi arrays monolithically fabricated exclusively using commercial, low-cost, 3D metal printing (direct metal laser sintering). Furthermore, we developed one of the first dual-polarized Vivaldi arr…

A Corrugated All-Metal Vivaldi Antenna for 5G Phased Array Applications

2025-02-05 · Mahyar Mehri Pashaki, Mohammad Hossein Koohi Ghamsari, Alireza Mallahzadeh, Gabriele Gradoni 외

In this paper, a corrugated Vivaldi phased array antenna in the 28 GHz frequency band is proposed for 5G communication applications. The presented configuration features an all-metal antipodal antenna structure with a br…

A Multi-Agent Framework for Interpreting Multivariate Physiological Time Series

2026-03-04 · Davide Gabrielli, Paola Velardi, Stefano Faralli, Bardh Prenkaj arxiv

Continuous physiological monitoring is central to emergency care, yet deploying trustworthy AI is challenging. While LLMs can translate complex physiological signals into clinical narratives, it is unclear how agentic sy…
