Kernels on Attributed Pointsets with Applications
This paper introduces kernels on attributed pointsets, which are sets of vectors embedded in an euclidean space. The embedding gives the notion of neighborhood, which is used to define positive semidefinite kernels on pointsets. Two novel kernels on neighborhoods are proposed, one evaluating the attribute similarity and the other evaluating shape similarity. Shape similarity function is motivated from spectral graph matching techniques. The kernels are tested on three real life applications: face recognition, photo album tagging, and shot annotation in video sequences, with encouraging results.

Scalable kernels for graphs with continuous attributes
While graphs with continuous node attributes arise in many applications, state-of-the-art graph kernels for comparing continuous-attributed graphs suffer from a high runtime complexity; for instance, the popular shortest…
General ClassificationOperator-free Equilibrium on the Sphere
We propose a generalized minimum discrepancy, which derives from Legendre's ODE and spherical harmonic theoretics to provide a new criterion of equidistributed pointsets on the sphere. A continuous and derivative kernel …
Subgraph Matching Kernels for Attributed Graphs
We propose graph kernels based on subgraph matchings, i.e. structure-preserving bijections between subgraphs. While recently proposed kernels based on common subgraphs (Wale et al., 2008; Shervashidze et al., 2009) in ge…
General ClassificationHeterogeneous Attributed Graph Learning via Neighborhood-Aware Star Kernels
Attributed graphs, typically characterized by irregular topologies and a mix of numerical and categorical attributes, are ubiquitous in diverse domains such as social networks, bioinformatics, and cheminformatics. While …

Object pose estimation is frequently achieved by first segmenting an RGB image and then, given depth data, registering the corresponding point cloud segment against the object's 3D model. Despite the progress due to CNNs…
