Localization with Noisy Android Raw GNSS Measurements
Android raw Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) measurements are expected to bring smartphones power to take on demanding localization tasks that are traditionally performed by specialized GNSS receivers. The hardware constraints, however, make Android raw GNSS measurements much noisier than geodetic-quality ones. This study elucidates the principles of localization using Android raw GNSS measurements and leverages Moving Horizon Estimation (MHE), Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), and Rauch-Tung-Striebel (RTS) smoother for noise suppression. Experimental results show that the RTS smoother achieves the best positioning performance, with horizontal positioning errors significantly reduced by 76.4% and 46.5% in static and dynamic scenarios compared with the baseline weighted least squares (WLS) method. GNSS Positioning using Cost Function Regulated Multilateration and Graph Neural Networks
In urban environments, where line-of-sight signals from GNSS satellites are frequently blocked by high-rise objects, GNSS receivers are subject to large errors in measuring satellite ranges. Heuristic methods are commonl…
Deep LearningOutdoor PositioningUsing Mobile Phones for Participatory Detection and Localization of a GNSS Jammer
It is well known that GNSS receivers are vulnerable to jamming and spoofing attacks, and numerous such incidents have been reported in the last decade all over the world. The notion of participatory sensing, or crowdsens…

On the use of GNSS for Automatic Detection of Attenuating Environments
When different radio applications share the same spectrum, the separation by attenuating material is a way to mitigate potential interference. The indoor restriction for WLAN devices in 5150-5350 MHz is an example for a …
