Motion trails from time-lapse video

2015-12-04 · Camille Goudeseune

From an image sequence captured by a stationary camera, background subtraction can detect moving foreground objects in the scene. Distinguishing foreground from background is further improved by various heuristics. Then each object's motion can be emphasized by duplicating its positions as a motion trail. These trails clarify the objects' spatial relationships. Also, adding motion trails to a video before previewing it at high speed reduces the risk of overlooking transient events.

Learning Fine-Grained Motion Embedding for Landscape Animation

2021-09-06 · Hongwei Xue, Bei Liu, Huan Yang, Jianlong Fu 외

In this paper we focus on landscape animation, which aims to generate time-lapse videos from a single landscape image. Motion is crucial for landscape animation as it determines how objects move in videos. Existing metho…

DTVNet: Dynamic Time-lapse Video Generation via Single Still Image

2020-08-11 · ECCV 2020 8 · Jiangning Zhang, Chao Xu, Liang Liu, Mengmeng Wang 외

This paper presents a novel end-to-end dynamic time-lapse video generation framework, named DTVNet, to generate diversified time-lapse videos from a single landscape image, which are conditioned on normalized motion vect…

Learning to Generate Time-Lapse Videos Using Multi-Stage Dynamic Generative Adversarial Networks

2017-09-22 · CVPR 2018 6 · Wei Xiong, Wenhan Luo, Lin Ma, Wei Liu 외

Taking a photo outside, can we predict the immediate future, e.g., how would the cloud move in the sky? We address this problem by presenting a generative adversarial network (GAN) based two-stage approach to generating …

Semantic-driven Generation of Hyperlapse from $360^\circ$ Video

2017-03-31 · Wei-Sheng Lai, Yujia Huang, Neel Joshi, Chris Buehler 외

We present a system for converting a fully panoramic ($360^\circ$) video into a normal field-of-view (NFOV) hyperlapse for an optimal viewing experience. Our system exploits visual saliency and semantics to non-uniformly…

Aesthetics Driven Autonomous Time-Lapse Photography Generation by Virtual and Real Robots

2022-08-22 · Xiaobo Gao, Qi Kuang, Xin Jin, Bin Zhou 외

Time-lapse photography is employed in movies and promotional films because it can reflect the passage of time in a short time and strengthen the visual attraction. However, since it takes a long time and requires the sta…
