Phase Sampling Profilometry

2020-09-10 · Zhenzhou Wang

Structured light 3D surface imaging is a school of techniques in which structured light patterns are used for measuring the depth map of the object. Among all the designed structured light patterns, phase pattern has become most popular because of its high resolution and high accuracy. Accordingly, phase measuring profolimetry (PMP) has become the mainstream of structured light technology. In this letter, we introduce the concept of phase sampling profilometry (PSP) that calculates the phase unambiguously in the spatial-frequency domain with only one pattern image. Therefore, PSP is capable of measuring the 3D shapes of the moving objects robustly with single-shot.

Self-supervised phase unwrapping in fringe projection profilometry

2023-02-13 · Xiaomin Gao, Wanzhong Song, Chunqian Tan, Junzhe Lei

Fast-speed and high-accuracy three-dimensional (3D) shape measurement has been the goal all along in fringe projection profilometry (FPP). The dual-frequency temporal phase unwrapping method (DF-TPU) is one of the promin…

3D Surface Profilometry Using Phase Shifting of De Bruijn Pattern

2015-12-01 · ICCV 2015 12 · Matea Donlic, Tomislav Petkovic, Tomislav Pribanic

A novel structured light method for color 3D surface profilometry is proposed. The proposed method does not require color calibration of a camera-projector pair and may be used for reconstruction of both dynamic and stat…

Rotational Motion-Induced Error Compensation for Phase-Shifting Profilometry-Based Eye Reconstruction

2026-07-16 · Seong-Jin An, Sanghoon Jeon, Yatong An, Jae-Sang Hyun arxiv

With the proliferation of immersive Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs) for Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), reliable and high-precision eye tracking has become increasingly important. Conventional 2D image-based methods …

Spatially Coupled Phase-to-Depth Calibration for Fringe Projection Profilometry

2026-06-10 · Sehoon Tak, Jae-Sang Hyun arxiv

In fringe projection profilometry (FPP), depth is commonly recovered by fitting a phase-to-depth relation independently at each camera pixel. Although such pixel-wise calibration achieves high local accuracy, neighboring…

Self-Supervised Dual-Frequency Phase Decomposition for Single-Shot Composite Fringe Projection Profilometry

2026-06-19 · Jin-Hyuk Seok, Yatong An, Jae-Sang Hyun arxiv

Single-shot fringe projection profilometry (FPP) has been actively studied for real-time measurement, dynamic object reconstruction, and motion-sensitive environments. Composite fringe patterns are advantageous in single…
