Single-Stage vs. Multi-Stage Machine Learning Algorithms for Prostate Segmentation in Magnetic Resonance Images
Fusion of magnetic resonance images (MRI) with ultrasound has led to major improvements in precision diagnostics for prostate cancer. A key step in the fusion process is segmentation of the prostate in MRI and machine learning (ML) has proven to be a valuable tool for segmentation. In this paper, we compare two ML workflows for prostate segmentation; a single-stage and multi-stage ML algorithm to address the challenges of prostate segmentation.

Two-stage short-term wind power forecasting algorithm using different feature-learning models
Two-stage ensemble-based forecasting methods have been studied extensively in the wind power forecasting field. However, deep learning-based wind power forecasting studies have not investigated two aspects. In the first …
SyNet: An Ensemble Network for Object Detection in UAV Images
Recent advances in camera equipped drone applications and their widespread use increased the demand on vision based object detection algorithms for aerial images. Object detection process is inherently a challenging task…
Objectobject-detectionObject DetectionSingle-Stage Multi-Person Pose Machines
Multi-person pose estimation is a challenging problem. Existing methods are mostly two-stage based--one stage for proposal generation and the other for allocating poses to corresponding persons. However, such two-stage m…
